Deposit License for the Central University Library of the University of Lübeck The Central University Library Lübeck (ZHB) is a joint institution of the University of Lübeck and the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck. It serves as a scientific library for research and teaching, studies and professional development. Its area of responsibility includes the administration of publications at the University of Lübeck. In connection with the establishment of the ZHB's university thesis server, the following Deposit License applies: The authors grant their right to electronic storage and public access to their dissertation, as well as the rights to duplication and distribution, to the university publication server of the ZHB of the University of Lübeck. The following conditions apply: 1. Third parties rights The authors affirm that they alone have the rights of use to their work under copyright law and that they have not yet made any dispositions contrary to the rights granted here (this applies in particular to secondary publications). They assure compliance with applicable data protection law. When using data, it is ensured that persons cannot be identified on the basis of the recordings or data or that there is a corresponding legal basis legitimizes the data processing. The authors assure that the electronic dissertation submitted to the University of Lübeck corresponds to the examination copy approved by the examination board and formally complies with the provisions of the doctoral regulations. The printing of the dissertation was approved by the examination board. Data formats, data carriers and the metadata as well as the number of copies to be submitted free of charge in paper and electronic form comply with the requirements of the University of Lübeck as well as the doctoral regulations applicable at the time of submission. 2. Granting of rights The authors grant the ZHB the non-exclusive, royalty free right for an unlimited period of time to reproduce and store their work on its own servers and to make it publicly accessible via national and international data networks. The ZHB is entitled to make copies and convert them into other electronic or physical formats for the purpose of archiving while maintaining the integrity of the content. Insofar as print-on-demand services are offered, the ZHB is also granted the right to reproduce and distribute. The ZHB is also entitled to report the work to the German National Library and pass it on. The ZHB permanently stores the dissertations on the university publication server within the scope of its technical and organisational possibilities. In addition, the ZHB is authorized to transfer the rights granted in this Deposit License in whole or in part to third parties and to grant non-exclusive rights of use without the separate consent of the authors. 3. Liability, claims for damages The authors are solely responsible for the content of their work. They and the ZHB shall inform each other immediately if third parties assert claims against them in connection with the uses and grants of rights regulated here and shall support each other by providing the necessary information. In such cases and until the legal situation has been clarified, the ZHB is entitled to interrupt the publications availability to the public on the university publication server in whole or in part. The ZHB assumes no liability for any technical malfunctions that may occur in the digital platform and is not responsible for unlawful use by third parties. 4. Consent to the processing of personal data The authors consent to the data processing of their personal data in the context of the recording of the dissertation to the ZHB of the University of Lübeck. This includes the following data: -Title - First name, last name - Year of origin, place of origin and title of the dissertation The data will be stored until the consent of the authors has been revoked. The authors are aware that they can revoke their consent at any time. The revocation has to be made to the University of Lübeck, Ratzeburger Allee 160, 23562 Lübeck and can be declared both in writing and by e-mail. The revocation of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. If the consent to the data processing of personal data is not declared or the consent already declared is revoked, it is not possible to record/further store the dissertations in the university publication server. The processing of the aforementioned personal data is necessary due to the traceability, transparency and citability of scientific papers. A resumption is possible by re-consenting to the data processing of personal data.
